Joe Jarret is a Republican and the Knox County Law Director who has been practicing local government law since 1989, during which time he served Polk County, Florida (population 554,000), as its County Law Director.
Joe is licensed to practice law before the Tennessee and Florida Supreme Courts, the United States Supreme Court and federal courts and is a Federal and State Mediator.
He is a former active duty United States Army Combat Arms Officer and Former United States Air Force Special Agent with service overseas.
He frequently guest lectures on behalf of the University of Tennessee, College of Law and the Howard Baker, Jr. Center for Public Policy.
Joe has published over 85 articles in various professional journals and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree, a Master of Public Administration degree, a Juris Doctor degree and a post-Graduate Certificate in Public Management.
