Ryan
A. Haynes earned his B.A., Magna Cum Laude, University
of Tennessee at Knoxville. He was elected a member of the
Tennessee House of Representatives for the 106th , 107th
and 108th General Assembly. Rep. Haynes is very involved in the civic
community and is affiliated with Big Brothers Big
Sisters of East Tennessee, Epilepsy Foundation Board of Directors, East
Tennessee Development District Board of Executive Directors, Red Cross
Development Council, East Tennessee Historical Society, East Tennessee Mental
Health Association, Knox Achieves, Read With Me, Tennessee Alumni Association, The
American Council of Young Political Leaders, West Knox Republican Club, and Knoxville
Civitan Club. Rep. Haynes is currently in his third year at Nashville School of
Law.
Currently,
108th General Assembly: Chairman, State Government Committee; Member, Calendar
& Rules Committee, Civil Justice Committee; and State Government General
Subcommittee. Rep. Haynes also has been
appointed the Speaker of the House to serve on the Mental Health Statewide
Planning and Policy Council; the Information Systems Council; the Tennessee
Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations (TACIR); and Fiscal Review
Committee.
